ملكزاده چندي پيش از سوي علياكبر صالحي وزير امور خارجه به سمت معاونت مالي و اداري اين وزارتخانه منصوب شد كه اين انتصاب با واكنش نمايندگان مجلس شوراي اسلامي روبه رو شد و وزير امور خارجه را در آستانه استيضاح قرار داد.
